Mean Machines 2008 Autoshow

Last Sunday (Oct 26'08) I went to the Mean Machines autoshow held at the Juru Autocity. I arrived there quite early around 11am. Not many stall are open up yet.

Have a drink at Subway. Add RM1 for free refill. I have my weekly quota of carbonated drinks filled. :)

Walk through few of the cars shown. Stay there until 1.40pm. Not many cars as I hope for. Maybe more cars in the evening, but who knows. It was a hot day, different from a couple days ago when it was cloudy and raining.

Group dinner at Spice Market Cafe

Have our team quarterly dinner at the Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, "Spice Market Cafe" on Oct 24'2008. It was drizzling by the time I arrive there. I heard the buffet is one of the expensive one around Penang's.


Have a walk by the beach. Saw the dark clouds looming over the horizon.

A lot of food there. Fresh seafoods, sushi, dessert. Western & oriental. I love the grilled black pepper prawns. They were nice. Didn't managed to get my hands on the lobsters though.

Maybank2u v2.0 slow

Yesterday (16-Oct-2008), Maybank launched the new interface for their Internet Banking webpage. But what happened? When i clicked the "login" button, it took forever to bring me to the login page. The old interface was faster.

Not sure whether the site was jam packed with people trying to get in or not. I try yesterday to login in from my office, but same experience. at home also the same thing.

Not only me seeing this, but lowyat.net also seeing this. You can read the article here.

Can we attibute this to the crappy and expensive internet infrastructure we have in Malaysia?

1by1 lightweight mp3 player

I'm just tired of using big resource hungry mp3 player. So i search in google for light weight mp3 player. Few choices pop up. And i try some. But the one that stick to me is 1by1 player.

It is just a small download, 115kb to be precise. Right now it is my main player beside the windows media player. You can set "hotkeys" to increase/decrease volume, and move forward/backward in the song list. No need for special media key at your keyboard :), but the media key is also supported by 1by1.

Raya-raya

Pagi raya hujan renyai. Dan juga balik sembahyang raya kat SP. Malam raya kot belah sini, budak2 dan bapak budak dok main mercun. Mercun kecik2 tu tak pa la jugak. Ni main mercun bola dan dok baling sana sini. Betoi2 menggangu kententeraman awam sungguh.

Dok harap2 biaq mercun tu meletup kat tangan, biaq hilang 2,3 jari baru depa tau.
