My jalan-jalan on the other side of the Penang Island

Today I went to "jalan-jalan" at Balik Pulau and Telok Bahang in Penang. The main reason was to find the location of the Balik Pulau Hospital and Mount Miriam Hospital. My mom got an appointment there this Friday.

First went to Balik Pulau, through Bayan Lepas. But in the hill climb, got a long queue of cars. The reason ... There is a big and long trailer in front.

After finding the Balik Pulau Hospital, continue my journey to Mount Miriam Hospital using Teluk Bahang road. Thanks to my Nokia E71 GPS :)

I stopped at few places to snap few pictures as below.

This was taken near a durian farm in Balik Pulau. The haze spoilt the view a bit. Now it is durian season, and you can see many stalls along the road selling this fruit.




This are taken at Telok Bahang dam. This year (2009) Penang International Dragon Boat race was held here.

This morning, my new toy arrived. It is the Canon battery grip for my EOS 350D. I ordered it from a forumer in Photomalaysia.

The price is much much cheaper than the current price for a second hand BG-E3 and this is new!

Last night it rained in Penang. With it, the haze clear up a lot. You can see the difference from the photo below.

A hazy morning in Penang (again)

Today is quite a hazy morning in Penang. Haze is just like an annual event here. As usual, take the normal precaution.

1. Limit your activity outside
2. Drink lots of water

Below are a couple of photos that i snapped while on the way to work. These were taken on the Penang Bridge. Overseeing the Queensbay, Jabatan laut jetty.

Nokia E72 unveiled

Nokia just unveiled the updated version of Nokia E71, it is a E72 (duh), using almost the same form factor as E71. E71 was the best qwerty smartphone for nokia.
